Top plate - when you want to emboss the top of the page.
Bottom Plate - when you want to emboss the bottom of the page (most popular)
The "Plate Only" option works with the Shinny name brand embossers and won't work with the inferior nobrand silver ones that you see around.
If you don't already own a Shinny brand embosser you will need to purchase the full set.
originally i was just buying one for a friend's bday but decided to get one for myself. There was great communication to ensure both designs were right and they came out perfectly! so easy to use and I'm so excited to go through my book collection :)
Amazing product! I love mine! I initially was not going to write a review for this product because when it arrived, I had set it up and tested it on a book and it did not come great. I was a little disappointed to begin with so I left it aside. A couple months later I found it while cleaning and thought I’d try it again on a book. That was when I noticed I had set it up wrong, I quickly fixed my mistake and loved the result. I am currently working my way through my book collection embossing away. Thank you very much for this, it is amazing!
